Melinda's horrific ending

Well the book ended pretty good. Rachel had ended her relationship with Andy(It). Andy was mad at Melinda for telling Rachel what had happened that summer so he locked her in her secret closet at school and was pushing all up on her.She was scared and wet her pants. He hits her and throws her around and she finally get the courage to stand up to him and she put a piece of the broken glass to his neck and told him no. Then the la cross team comes in a saves her.She ends up becoming a hero and on the last day of school she was trying to finish up her project in art class she gets an A+ of her assignment and she finally get the courage to talk to others and tells Mr. Freeman about her school year. I was satisfied with the ending I'm happy Melinda sticks up for herself and finally has the courage to talk. The authors purpose of writing this book was just for entertainment.Her message to me was that even though you have been through some hard times just speak up it will make u feel way better about yourself and even feel free. Yes i would recommend this book to someone i would recommend it to anyone that had been through a struggle and trying to get through it or just to anyone cause it will change anyone life just by reading it. I helped them the same way they helped me we all shared our opinions and shared how we think she was feeling and it helped alot.     

giving advice

Well if i was Melinda's best friend i would tell her to go tell the police and her parents what happened? or she could go tell her councilor.So someone could help her through her situation. I also would tell her holding things in doesn't help my mom always told me closed mouths never get fed. So how is you going to get help if you don't tell someone.
To help her out the situation she is in i would tell help tutor her in some of her classes o get her grade up and i would also go with her to get help and tell someone what had happened.
We could get help from parents,police,principal,councilor,teacher,etc,

Melinda going down hill

So far Melinda was in biology and she fainted and hit her head and had to  to get stitches. The boy it keeps messing with her and whispering stuff to her playing with her hair knowing that she is uncomfortable around him.The Martha's talk about Heather and tell her she isn't picking up enough weight and that the pictures that Melinda made are ugly and Heather didn't even stick up for Melinda. Mr. Freeman rips up his master piece because he doesn't like it.Melinda skips school for a whole day goes to the mall and another time to the hospital.Heather tells Melinda that she doesn't want to be her friend any more and gives her the necklace she gave her back. She has another meeting with the principal and her parents and they are not happy with her. Her grades are low, she has been skipping school and she doesn't speak up.

My reaction is that i don't like Heather any more she is mean and fake she was Melinda's only friend and the only one that hung out with her and then she just gonna leave her to be with the Martha's. I had a friend that left me for another group of people because they were all mad at me,but i got through it and don't feel there is a need for friends when u can have fun on your own.

I predict that Melinda will find a new friend and that she will get over the being quiet thing. I also think that her ex best friend Rachel will come back into the picture and be her friend again.

I want to know what happened at that party last summer?
I want to know why Andy keeps messing with Melinda?
I want to know why Heather just left Melinda to be with the Martha's?

Melinda's point of veiw

So far I have been treated badly and talked about. Ever sense this summer at that party people have just not liked me. I have been ask by the coach to help out and i can get a A in gym but i really don't want to. Mr. freeman shows me that art is creative and i really want to make this tree come to life but i cant get the branches to go right they are all flat and ugly. I don't think that i will ever get through the ninth grade. Heather is a great friend she is doing so much better than me. She has joined a club and became a model i think its because her dad owns the mall but I'm not mad just happy for her.

The start of Melinda's freshman year

So far my reactions on the book are a little of sad because I feel were she is coming from and its a little anger because the kids in this book are mean. Melinda had so many friends before she hit high school now all her friends are treating her mean and I don't know why. Then Melinda has no real connection with her family and its sad that she communicates with her mom through notes and hides in her room when her dad comes home. The main characters are Melinda and Heather. Melinda is a female, about fifteen, Caucasian, quiet, likes to be alone. Heather is a female, bout fifteen, Caucasian, quiet but more outgoing than Melinda, and wants to fit in any were, and just moved there. I don't know were they live yet. The problem is that Melinda has no friends other than Heather and she is very quiet. She had a incident last summer but don't know what happened yet.

I choose this because after reading the back it seemed interesting, and i wanted to get more details on the story. I predict its going to be about a young girl that is going through alot in her life and ends up being a strong woman that over comes everything.What catches my eye on the front cover is they eye on the cover. My group is me,Nisha, and Segundo. Our norms are to particiapte,cooperate,have all pages read when expected,be prepared(books and papers),share information in every meeting.
